Click Speed Test
How many clicks in 10 seconds? Measure your CPS.
About the CPS test
Click the pad; the timer starts on your first click and counts your clicks until it runs out. Your score is clicks per second โ CPS โ and your best is remembered on this device. Timers from 1 to 60 seconds are available because burst speed and sustained speed are very different skills.
What counts as fast
Ordinary deliberate clicking runs about 5โ7 CPS. The double-digit numbers quoted online come from techniques: jitter clicking tenses the forearm so the finger vibrates on the button (10โ14 CPS), and butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button (15โ25 CPS). Both take practice and are hard on the wrist โ stop if it hurts, genuinely.
Sustained pace collapses fast: a 1-second burst of 12 CPS typically becomes 7โ8 over ten seconds and 5โ6 over a minute, which is why the longer timers exist. Scores here count real pointer events, so autoclickers prove nothing โ and get accounts banned in the games where clicking speed matters. A mouse that scores suspiciously high on its own may have switch bounce: the mouse tester will show it.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good CPS score?
5โ7 clicks per second is normal, 8โ10 is quick, and sustained rates above that generally involve jitter or butterfly technique. Ten-second scores run lower than one-second bursts.
What is jitter clicking?
Tensing the forearm so the hand vibrates, pressing the button 10โ14 times a second. It is faster than normal clicking but tiring and hard on the wrist โ take breaks.
Does this test work on a phone?
Yes, taps count. Touchscreens typically manage slightly higher rates than a mouse because the whole finger moves less.
Where is my best score stored?
In your browser's local storage, on this device only. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing site data resets it.
