Why a plain layout beats a designed one
Most résumés are read first by software — applicant-tracking systems that parse the PDF into fields — and the two-column templates with icons, sidebars and skill bars that template sites sell are exactly what parsers mangle: columns get read across, tables lose their labels, graphics become gibberish. Recruiters, for their part, spend seconds on a first pass and want the same things the parser wants: a single column, clear section headings, reverse-chronological jobs with dates, and bullets that say what you achieved with a number in them. That is the layout here, printed as real text (not an image) through your browser's print dialog, so it stays searchable and parseable. Honest notes: the page-break position depends on your browser and paper size, so preview before sending; keep to one page for under about ten years' experience; and no template fixes vague bullets — “Led migration that cut hosting costs 30%” beats “Responsible for infrastructure”. How do I get a PDF?

Only in this browser’s local storage, so it survives a reload. Nothing is sent to a server. Download the JSON backup to keep a copy or move to another device.
Should I add a photo?
Not for UK, US, Canadian or Australian applications, where photos invite bias concerns and many employers discard them. The layout deliberately has no photo slot.
One page or two?
One page for under roughly ten years of experience, two at most beyond that. Trim older roles to a line each rather than shrinking the font.
