Why signatures are built like it's 1999
Email HTML is a museum: Outlook renders with Word's engine, Gmail strips style blocks, and modern CSS dies quietly โ so the markup here is a table with inline styles and web-safe fonts, deliberately antique because that's what renders identically everywhere. The design opinions baked in, all defensible: no images (blocked by default in most clients, flagged by spam filters, and broken forever when the hosting moves), one accent colour, contact details on one line, no inspirational quote. Install points: Gmail โ Settings โ Signature; Outlook โ Settings โ Compose โ Signatures; Apple Mail accepts a formatted paste. How do I add the signature to Gmail?
Copy with formatting here, then Gmail โ Settings โ General โ Signature, and paste. The table structure and colours survive the trip.
Why no logo or photo?
Images in signatures are blocked by default in many clients, raise spam scores, and break when their hosting changes โ the plain-text-plus-colour signature renders reliably forever. That's why this generator doesn't offer them.
Why is the HTML a table with inline styles?
Because email clients โ Outlook especially, which renders with Word โ ignore modern CSS. Tables with inline styles are the only markup that renders the same in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail.
Is my information stored?
No โ the signature is assembled in your browser and nothing you type leaves the page.
