Timelines that read at a glance
A timeline is the fastest way to explain a sequence — how the company got here, what the project delivered when, the stages of a process — and the design rules are few: one line per event, a bold date, a short description, and even spacing so the reader's eye moves at a steady pace. Even spacing is a deliberate choice: to-scale timelines are honest about duration but unreadable when one year has ten events and the next decade has one, and for a history or a milestone list the order matters more than the gaps. Dates are free text, so quarters, months or 'Phase 2' all work. For a to-scale, dated plan with durations use the Gantt chart; for numbers over time use the chart maker; for a printable version drop the PNG into the print sheet.

No — spacing is even by design so dense periods stay readable. Use the Gantt chart for a dated, to-scale plan.
How many events fit?
Vertical timelines grow with the list (a few dozen is fine); horizontal ones are best at three to eight events across a slide.
What format is the download?
PNG at 1200 pixels wide (vertical height grows with events). Import it into slides or documents; for editing, rebuild here — the draft is saved in this browser.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The graphic is drawn on your device and the events are stored only in this browser.
