When plain text deserves a PDF
PDF's virtue is fixedness: a .txt file renders however the reader's app feels, but a PDF looks identical everywhere, prints predictably and can't be casually edited โ which is why submissions, applications and records ask for it. Honest limits stated up front: this sets plain text (no bold or headings โ Markdown covers styled documents better) and the built-in PDF fonts cover Latin scripts only, so emoji and other alphabets are declined before building rather than silently dropped. Does the PDF keep my line breaks?
Paragraph breaks (blank lines), yes; within paragraphs, text re-wraps to fit the page width โ which is what makes it look typeset rather than pasted.
Why can't it include emoji or other scripts?
The PDF built-in fonts (Helvetica family) cover Latin-1 text only, and this tool refuses honestly rather than printing empty boxes. Latin accents โ รฉ, รผ, รฑ โ work fine.
Can I make a multi-page PDF?
Yes โ text flows across as many pages as needed, with optional page numbers (1 / N) added when there's more than one.
Is my text uploaded?
