About this tool
Type an item (with a quantity if you like: "2 milk", "bananas x6") and it is filed under the right aisle โ produce, dairy, bakery, meat, frozen, household โ so you walk the shop once. Tick items as you go; ticked items can be kept as staples for next time. Saved on your device, works offline once opened.
A list that saves a lap of the shop
The reason a grouped list beats a notes-app list is that supermarkets are laid out in aisles and a list in the order you thought of things sends you back and forth. The aisle guess uses a dictionary of a few hundred common groceries; when it guesses wrong, change the aisle and it remembers for that item. It is deliberately simple: no accounts, no sync, no barcode scanning โ the list is in this browser's storage on the phone in your hand, which is also why nothing about your shopping is uploaded anywhere. Sharing is by copying the text. The meal planner builds a list from the week's meals, the unit price calculator settles which pack is cheaper, and the recipe scaler adjusts quantities for the number you are cooking for.

Does it sync between my phone and laptop?
No โ the list is stored in the browser of the device you are using. Copy the text to move it, which is also why nothing is uploaded.
