Meal Planner
Weekly meal plan grid that builds its own shopping list.
About this tool
A seven-day grid of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Type a meal or pick from your saved meals (each with its ingredients), and the tool combines every ingredient for the week into a shopping list you can copy or send to the shopping list tool. Plans are stored on your device.
Why a plan cuts the bill
Most food waste and most expensive takeaways come from the same cause: it is six o'clock and there is no plan. A weekly grid fixes that in ten minutes on Sunday, and the ingredient list it produces is what makes it stick โ one shop for the week instead of four. Practical habits from people who do this every week: plan around what is already in the fridge, repeat lunches, cook double on two nights, and leave one slot deliberately empty for leftovers or a night out. The tool saves your meals with their ingredients so week two is drag and drop. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. The shopping list groups the result by aisle, the recipe scaler adjusts a recipe to your household, and the calorie calculator sets the target if you are planning for a goal.
Frequently asked questions
Can it suggest meals?
No โ it has no recipe database, by design. You enter your meals once with their ingredients and reuse them; the value is the grid and the combined list.
How does the shopping list combine ingredients?
Ingredients with the same name are merged and quantities added when they use the same unit ('200 g rice' twice becomes 400 g).
Can I plan more than one week?
Each plan is one week; save it under a name and start another, so a rotation of three or four weeks is easy.
Is anything stored online?
No. Plans and saved meals live in this browser only; export them as text if you change devices.
