When you need a hundred codes, not one
Restaurant tables, event seats, product SKUs, asset tags, parcel labels, per-customer tracking links, classroom worksheets — the moment each code has to be different, generating them one at a time stops being an option, and the bulk sites that do it for you either watermark the free tier or keep your list. This runs the same open encoder as the QR generator in a loop in your browser: names come from your label column, the index.csv lets a mail-merge or a label template find each file, and the codes are plain black-on-white PNGs that print and scan reliably. Practical honesty: a QR code's capacity is finite (about 2,950 characters at most, and codes get dense and hard to scan past a few hundred), so keep the data short — a short URL with UTM parameters rather than a long one; choose High error correction for codes that will be printed small, laminated or stuck outdoors; and scan one printed sample with the QR scanner before you run five hundred. Frequently asked questions
What format should the list be?
One value per line for plain codes, or two columns — label,data — so the files are named usefully. A CSV export works; a header row is fine.
How are the files named?
By the label column, cleaned for filesystem safety; or qr-001, qr-002… when there is no label. index.csv lists every label, its data and its file.
Which error correction should I use?
Medium for screens and normal print; High for small, laminated or outdoor codes (it survives about 30% damage at the cost of a denser code); Low only when the data is long.
Is my list uploaded?
No — encoding runs in your browser and the ZIP is built locally. Up to 500 codes per batch keeps memory sensible on phones.
