About this time tracker
Type a project name, hit start, and stop when you're done โ the entry lands in a log grouped by day, with totals per project and a rolling seven-day sum. Only the start timestamp is stored while the clock runs, so a timer keeps counting even if the tab is closed; come back an hour later and stop it, and the hour is there.
When it's time to bill, export the whole log as a CSV that opens straight in a spreadsheet โ or carry the totals into our invoice generator and turn them into a finished PDF. Everything stays on your device.
Why tracked hours beat guessed hours
Every study of self-reported work time finds the same thing: people are poor witnesses of their own day. Small tasks get rounded down to nothing, fragmented work gets forgotten, and the honest freelancer systematically under-bills. Tracking as you go replaces reconstruction with a record โ and the record is almost always higher than the guess.
The habit matters more than the precision. Starting the timer is also a small act of commitment โ naming what you're about to do โ which is why time trackers quietly double as focus tools. The log at the end of the week tells you where the hours actually went, which is frequently not where you'd have said.

- Track the admin too. Emails and calls are real work; a client's total should include them, billable or not.

What happens if I close the tab while the timer runs?
Nothing bad โ only the start time is stored, so the timer keeps counting against the clock. Reopen the page whenever and stop it; the full duration is recorded.
Where are my hours stored?
In your browser's local storage, on this device only. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. The CSV export is your backup โ and your route into a spreadsheet.
Can I track multiple projects?
Yes โ each entry carries its project name, the totals section sums hours per project, and previously used names are suggested as you type.
How do I turn tracked hours into an invoice?
Export the CSV for your records, then put the hours as line items into our invoice generator โ quantity as hours, rate as your hourly rate โ and download the finished invoice as a PDF.
Can I delete or fix an entry?
Every entry has a delete button. To fix a wrong duration, delete it and re-add by running the timer, or simply leave a corrected note in your exported CSV.
