Why the direct link matters, and the rules around asking
Reviews are the strongest signal in local search and the first thing a new customer reads, and the difference between “find us on Google and leave a review” and a link that opens the review box in one tap is most of the reviews you'll get. Google's Place ID identifies your listing; the writereview URL with it opens the five-star box directly on any device. The QR code on a counter card, receipt, table tent or van does the same for walk-in customers. The rules are honest and strict: ask everyone (not just happy customers), never offer discounts or gifts for reviews, never gate the ask behind a satisfaction question — Google removes reviews and can suspend listings for it, and consumer regulators fine businesses for fake or incentivised reviews. Reply to every review, including the bad ones; the reply is public and read more than the review. Nothing here is sent to Google; the tool only builds URLs on your device. No — Google and consumer-protection rules in the US, UK and EU prohibit incentivised reviews. Ask, make it easy, and reply. That’s what works.
Does the QR code expire?
No — it encodes the review URL itself, which stays valid as long as your listing exists. Nothing is stored on this site.
Can I get a printable card?
Yes — the review card is a 1050×1500 PNG with the QR code and a short message, sized for a counter stand or a receipt insert.
