Turns an ordinary PDF into printer spreads for a fold-in-half booklet: print double-sided (flip on the SHORT edge), fold the stack, staple the spine, and the pages read in order. Zines, programmes, song books, instruction manuals โ the folding does the binding.
The page-pairing maths (why hand-doing it fails)
Booklet printing is an old printer's craft called imposition, and its arithmetic is deeply unintuitive: the first sheet carries the LAST page and page one side by side; its back carries pages two and second-to-last; the pairing walks inward until it meets in the middle. An eight-page booklet prints as 8-1 / 2-7 / 6-3 / 4-5 โ get one pair wrong and the folded result shuffles like a bad card trick. Page counts must also be multiples of four (every folded sheet has four faces, used or not), so the tool pads with blanks at the end โ which real print shops do too. Sheet counts stay small: a 16-page zine is four sheets; forty pages is ten. For a thick booklet, note that saddle-stitch works best under ~60 pages โ beyond that the middle pages creep outward and want a trim. Plain multiple-pages-per- sheet without folding is n-up; the organizer fixes page order problems before imposing.

How do I print the result correctly?
Double-sided, flipping on the SHORT edge (the setting everyone misses โ long-edge flip prints the backs upside down). Then fold the whole stack in half and staple the spine.
Why did blank pages appear?
Booklets need page counts in multiples of four โ each folded sheet has four faces. The tool pads the end with blanks, exactly as a print shop would.
What order do the pages end up in?
Saddle-stitch imposition: sheet one is last-page + page-one, walking inward (for 8 pages: 8-1, 2-7, 6-3, 4-5). Folded, it reads 1, 2, 3โฆ โ that's the arithmetic this tool exists to get right.
How many pages can a folded booklet handle?
Comfortably up to about 60 โ beyond that paper thickness pushes middle pages outward. For thicker documents, print in sections or bind flat instead.
