About this maker
Drop images in order, set how long each frame shows and a maximum width, and get a looping animated GIF encoded in your browser. Frames are sized to the first image; mismatched shapes are letterboxed. No upload, no watermark.
Flipbooks, before/afters and stop motion
The uses are older than the format: a two-frame before/after that alternates (far more attention-grabbing than side by side), product shots rotating through angles, a stop-motion sequence from a phone on a tripod, a hand-drawn flipbook scanned page by page, screenshots stepping through a process. Delay is the whole feel — 100 ms reads as smooth motion, 500 ms as a slideshow, 1–2 s as deliberate before/after. GIF's limits apply: 256 colours per frame, so photographs posterise slightly, and no real compression, so keep widths modest (480 px suits chats). The encoder is the same open-source library the video-to-GIF tool uses, running on your device. Prepare frames with the resizer or the cropper so they share a shape, and the merger makes the static side-by-side version.
Frequently asked questions
How many images can I use?
As many as your device's memory allows — dozens are fine. File size grows with frame count and width; a 480-px, 20-frame GIF is typically 1–3 MB.
Do the images need to be the same size?
No — every frame is fitted into the first image's shape and letterboxed on white if the proportions differ. Cropping them to match first gives the cleanest result.
Can I control the speed?
The delay slider sets how long every frame shows, from 50 ms (smooth) to 2 s (slideshow). The GIF loops forever, as GIFs do.
Is there a watermark or upload?
Neither — encoding happens in your browser, the download is yours, and nothing is stamped on it.
