Crypto Profit Calculator

Profit, ROI and break-even price on a crypto trade after buy and sell fees.

About this tool

Enter the amount you invested, the coin, the price you bought at, the price you sold at (or a target price) and the trading fee percentage on each side. The calculator shows the profit or loss, the return on investment, the number of coins you bought, what you receive after fees and the sell price you need just to break even. There are no live prices, by design, so nothing is fetched and you enter the prices from your own exchange.

How fees change a crypto trade

The buy fee comes out of the amount you invest, so fewer coins are bought, and the sell fee comes out of the proceeds. Investing 1,000 in bitcoin at 60,000 with a 0.1% fee buys 0.01665 BTC; selling at 72,000 with another 0.1% fee returns about 1,197.60, a profit of 197.60 or 19.76%, slightly under the 20% price rise. The break-even sell price is 60,120.18, a little above the buy price because both fees must be covered. Fees matter more on small moves: at 0.5% each way, a coin that rises 1% still loses you money. The same maths works for stocks and ETFs. Honest limits: network or gas fees and the bidโ€“ask spread are not included unless you add them to the fee percentages, and tax on gains depends on your country. Crypto prices are highly volatile. General information, not investment advice. The stock average calculator averages several buys, the ROI calculator compares investments and the percentage calculator handles quick changes. How to calculate percentages explains percentage change.
