Week numbers, and why colleagues disagree about them
The numbers shown are ISO 8601: weeks start Monday, and week 1 is the week containing the year's first Thursday. That makes some years 53 weeks long, and lets 1 January fall in week 52 or 53 of the previous year โ correct, if surprising. The US convention counts from the week containing 1 January instead, so "week 32" can differ by one between a European and American planner. When a delivery is promised "week 32", it is worth asking which system โ this calendar shows ISO, which is what European industry means.
