Adds a date to the corner of a photo, either in the orange glow of a film camera's date-back or as plain readable text. The date defaults to the file's own modified date โ usually when the photo was taken โ and you can change it, reformat it, or replace it with any text you like.
The look it is imitating
From the 1980s until digital took over, many compact cameras had a quartz date-back that burned the date onto the negative with a small orange LED as the film was exposed. It was genuinely part of the photograph, not an overlay โ which is why those stamps have the distinctive glow of light on film rather than the flat look of type.
The retro style here reproduces that: a monospaced face with a soft halo, in the amber that the LEDs produced. The plain style is simply legible text with a shadow, for when you want a caption rather than a period effect.
